Activated carbon How to absorb harmful gas

Activated carbon adsorption of organic waste gas:

Organic waste gas treatment generally includes catalytic combustion, activated carbon adsorption desorption, direct combustion and other methods. When the total concentration of waste gas is below 1000 g/m3, and the outlet temperature is less than 45 ℃, its nature is low concentration waste gas. Therefore, it is more reasonable to select activated carbon adsorption catalytic combustion desorption.

Adsorption principle of activated carbon:

The essence of activated carbon adsorption is to use the characteristics of activated carbon adsorption to adsorb the organic solvent in the waste gas with low concentration and large air volume into the activated carbon and concentrate it. The gas purified by activated carbon adsorption is directly discharged. Its essence is a process of adsorption and concentration. The organic solvent was not disposed of. It is a physical process.

The essence of catalytic combustion desorption is to use the hot air of catalytic combustion to heat the adsorbed organic solvent in the activated carbon to reach the boiling point of the solvent, so that the organic solvent can be desorbed from the activated carbon, and this high concentration waste gas is introduced into the catalytic combustion reactor. At the catalytic light off temperature of~250 ℃, the oxidation reaction is carried out through the role of catalyst, and the harmless water and carbon dioxide are discharged into the atmosphere. It is a chemical reaction process. It is not the burning of open flame, and can completely solve the secondary pollution during desorption.

Activated carbon adsorption catalytic combustion desorption is an effective combination of the advantages of the above two. That is, first use activated carbon for adsorption concentration. When the activated carbon adsorption reaches saturation, use electric heating to start the catalytic combustion equipment, and use hot air to locally heat the activated carbon adsorption bed. When the catalytic combustion reaction bed is heated to~250 ℃, and the activated carbon adsorption bed is locally heated to 60~110 ℃, The high concentration waste gas desorbed from the adsorption bed can be oxidized in the catalytic reaction bed. The high temperature gas after reaction is heat exchanged by the heat exchanger. Part of the heat exchanged gas is reused and sent to the activated carbon adsorption bed for desorption, and the other part is discharged into the atmosphere. The temperature of the desorbed exhaust gas increases rapidly after heat exchange in the heat exchanger. This enables the catalytic combustion device and desorption to operate at low power or no power.

Regenerative desorption is carried out when the adsorption work is interrupted.
