Molecular sieve carrier has uniform micropores, and its pore size is equivalent to that of ordinary molecules. It is an inorganic microporous material composed of SIO2, AL2O and alkaline metals or alkaline earth metals. Its inner pore volume accounts for 40-50% of the total volume, and its specific surface area is 300-1000m2/g. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, non flammability, good thermal stability and hydrothermal stability. Its pore size is below 2nm, 2-50nm are mesoporous molecular sieves (those above 50nm are macroporous molecular sieves). Mesoporous molecular sieves have high specific surface area, regular and orderly pore structure, narrow pore size distribution, continuous and adjustable pore size and other characteristics, which make them play a role in the adsorption and separation of macromolecules that are difficult to be completed by many microporous molecular sieves, especially in catalytic reactions. Mesoporous materials can generally be divided into two categories: silica based and non silica based. Silica based mesoporous molecular sieves have narrow pore size distribution, regular pore structure, mature technology and many researches. Silica based mesoporous molecular sieves can be used in catalysis, separation and purification, drug embedding and sustained release, gas sensing and other fields. Non silica mesoporous molecular sieves mainly include transition metal oxides, phosphates and sulfides. It is widely used in adsorption, catalyst loading, acid catalysis, oxidation catalysis (such as methanol olefinization, hydrocarbon oxidation) and other fields.
